About this Jewelry
Jay and Michael Chernow founded Monocraft in 1929 from Providence, RI. They began making jewelry under the name Monet around 1937 and the jewelry was one of the first to offer gold plated jewelry. In 2000, Liz Claiborne bought the Monet line and it is still in manufacture today. All pieces of Monet jewelry after 1955 are signed with the Monet trademark.
